Does anyone know the official distance between the inner side of bearings on an ultra torque chainset (potenza)??

Why do you care. If the shell is the correct width then you dont need to know. If the shell is not the correct with then you need to make it the correct width.

I have a bbinfinity insert so the shell width is redundant

I had a bbInfinity PF30a fitted to a cannondale evo supersix. The mechanic ignored the installation instructions and didn't bother with the loctite. after 6 months the insert started to slide out. I took it back to the mechanic. He removed it and reinstalled. I now have around 2mm of side play, so I need to know whether the insert is ruined or the crankset. There is no adjustment on this system and forget wave washers etc, this would defeat the object of the insert.
