I'm looking to mount either Vittoria G1 or G2 on Bora Ultra 50mm (AC3) with tan side wall for my Oltre XR4. Which do you guys receommend for great all around wheel? According to rolling resistance tests, the older tires is faster.

The G2.0 compound is both much harder wearing and has amazing grip. As I do not time trial, I don’t chases minor improvements in Crr.

Is it? Good to know. I'm usually more fond of black tires... but for a new build I'm thinking about, tan walls would look really good, just a shame that it's not tubeless ready. But, the watts lost from G2.0 vs a GP5000 is actually quite big... I do like the feel and grip of Corsas though.

My 25mm Corsa G1.0 non-tubeless lasted 1300mi. My 30mm Corsa Control G2.0 TLR lasted over 4000mi. Lots of variables, so it's not a 1:1 comparison, but it's also over 3x the distance...

I have the 28mm 2.0 tubs. They are narrow, maybe less than 27mm, incredibly heavy at 350g, slow (i consistently get about 1kph less on flat rides compored to clinchers 5000 with latex) but they do seem indestructible. I am seeing wear on rear after some 3000km but i am heavy and dont pamper them. No cuts etc.
1.0 i had a couple sets, cut easily on the rear but fine in the front

It's all YMMV. I'm up to 3500km on my 25mm Corsa G1 and the tread line down the centre of the rear tyre has only just disappeared.
