Hi all,

Any compatability issues using a SRAM 1170 cassette with Shimano R8000? I've got a spare 11-26 cassette that I want to use since it has a 16. I've currently have a 11-28 and running 52/36 and finding that I'm missing the 16.

Cheers
Richard

No compatibility issues. SRAM cassettes are typically a little more chattery than Shimano due to slightly different teeth profiles, but they function.

The pitch of the Sram and shimano cassettes are slightly different. 3.69 mm vs 3.72 mm. It will work, but you'll get a bit more noise in some gears than others. I tried an Ultegra cassette with my old etap setup and swapped it out after a month or so because it drove me crazy. If you're laid back you'll be fine, if your finicky about everything you'll hate it.
