Cheers everyone :) think I'm gonna go for a set of HED Ardennes or jet if my budget can go that far. @irrelevantD yeah I'll make sure I get the plus.
The Jets aren't really intended to be run tubeless: the carbon faring is non-structural and could deform at the valve if tightened. The Ardennes+/Belgium+ work well tubeless (plain old Ardennes/Belgium rims shouldn't be run tubeless).

Does anyone have any experience with hunt wheels? I'm looking at the HUNT RACE AERO WIDE WHEELSET, they are 1496g, 31mm deep, 24mm external width and 19mm internal. I can get them for £360 brand new. But I'm not sure on the quality as I'll be climbing a lot I want a wheelset that doesnt flex much.

Hunt give you a 60 day period to test them if your not happy you can send them back even after use for a full refund which seems pretty good.

I'm also looking at the campagnolo shamals or fulcrum in the 2 way fit.

I found some HED BELGIUM PLUS with Chris king hubs aswel off the Chris king website for $999 which is around £770 for me with free shipping.

These are the kinlin xr31t rims. Lots of builders use them. These are the rims that I and Malcom (Borg wheels/cycle clinic) recommended already.

Malcom will be able to tell you the best build combos, do's and don'ts with these rims.

Interesting. My DTs have a very positive lock and don't drop to the channel when deflated. If there's a more secure lock I'd love to try it.

My experience with Pacenti is the same as yours - so tight that lock seems irrelevant.

My kinlin xc279s are the worst of my tubeless and they had put me off trying other kinlins. Do the xr 26 and 31 have good bead lock?

Xc279s are not tubeless compatible.

I've got a set of those Hunt wide aero race wheels, set with TB from buying them 2 years ago. I really like them, not really come across much rubbing at all. For the price I don't think you can go wrong with them.
Difficult to compare to the HED's as they are twice the price.
