Hi all, abit of a dumb question. if i want to run a 8 speed cassette on a 11 speed freehub (shimano) what spacer do i need? 1.85mm is for 10 speed cassette to 11 speed freehib, do i need to stack more? or there are other ones out there i can use? Thanks.

8/9/10 cassettes have similar widths. So you'll just need a spacer for a 10s, 1.85mm

10 speed is 1 mm narrower than 9, so when you put a 10 on an 11 speed body you need a 1 and 1,85 mm spacer.

Throw it on the freehub and see. If the final cog is flush w/ the freehub (or the freehub is taller), add a spacer so the cassette doesn't wobble. Make sure you torque to the final torque setting before checking.

SRAM 10-spd cassettes are not supposed to require the spacer like the Shimano 10-spds, but in practice, it all depends on the freehub body length.
