I am not the authority on this but my understanding is the Satin Carbon is just carbon with a protective coating on it, whereas Black Pear or pretty much any other color will have a layer of paint and then a coating.

Both are negative. Use this tool to measure the difference between the two.
If you need + upright positive stem then this bike is not for you. It is a pure racing bike.

looking at spesh website and it just puts 6 degree and 12 degree, so i'd thought there might be a chance its positive
Using a 110 -6 degrees stem now, changing to the 120 one soon therefore thinking if i could go 120 -12 straight away
Has anyone gotten a frame weight for the Sand and Gold frame? I am guessing it is probably the second heaviest behind the white.

Most likeley the satin, since it's mostly unpainted.
I just ordered a Sl7 Expert (not a S-Works) Tropical Teal in 54 and i'm gonna use it on a Kickr during wintertime. I already rode a Canyon Ultimate SL on Kickr/Neo 2 T with way thinner seatstays (Rimbrake) without any issues.
I asked few month ago an expertise on carbon frames and he said that the only worry to take into account is the potencial galvanic corrosion due to sweat. The rest is fine.

I started using a trainer really heavily this year. It was motivation to buy a Tarmac and sign up to weightweenies, watching my poor S3 suffer from rivers of sweat.
I've got a 2021 carbon/white Specialized frameset on it's way to me. I thought I'd have to get an S-Works because I like dark colors better than the regular frame's 2023 white colorway. But it was really hard to justify 120g for a few thousand dollars when I stumbled across this old (new) frameset in my size.

I will no doubt spend weeks reading all 434 pages before I decide .
Most likely R8170 build (I have older Ultegra Di2 on my 2015 S3 and love it)
420mm Rapide bars if I can stay patient enough until February or whenever they are in stock
Most likely CL II wheels, probably try tubeless for the first time
I have a Fizik Vento Argo Adaptive saddle on my current bike but to fit the Specialized theme I might try a Power with Mirror, unsure if the S-Works is worth the extra $.
One of Ryan's RD hangers if I can get one
Maybe 4iiii dual meters if I can convince myself the $ is worth it
I've got a C-Bear BB on the way (thanks thread)
Maybe Arundel Mandibles to match the frame color, got them on the S3 and like them
I'm interested in CL800 rotors but this thread seems to like Galfers, so maybe DB102WCL/DB101WCL
I'll probably slam it and go with a -12 110 stem.
It's more expensive than just getting an Expert and upgrading wheels and bars but I like the black color better anyway.
I'll take my time, I just spend a couple grand on my S3 anyway (new wheels and drivetrain refresh) and it's still a great bike. It'll just be my dedicated (expensive) trainer bike.

I was surprised to see the official manual explicitly advise against carbon paste for the stem/steerer and no mention of any for the stem/bar. E.g. pages 18 and 22 of:
https://media.specialized.com/support/c ... 145155.pdf
Is that what everyone is doing? I have used paste on both locations before on previous bikes.
