SL7 2022 Spectraflair brushed chrome size 56
Congrats on the new frame!
I absolutely love the color and think this is the best 2022 colorway.
Currently I am torn between the 2021 emerald green / gloss black frame and the 2022 satin black / spectraflair frame.
Would you mind posting some more pictures or a video of the frame in the sunlight please? In some pictures it almost looks like a gloss color and I have no idea how much it sparkles. What is your impression of it so far?
Enjoy your NBD!

I feel like most people are aware that the difference between a standard Specialized frame and the S-Works frame are minimal. However, it comes down to
- Do you have the budget and do you want/need the 2-3% minimal gains you'll gain from the S-Works frame
- Do you have the budget for the S-Works frame and want the S-Works frame instead of the standard frame, either because of the name, color, etc.
This is WW afterall, there has to be some value to minimizing the weight of your bike or this forum wouldn't exist.
Very valid points Smeady.
Whole heartily agree, this is WW and we love geeking out on the gains, differences and tech.
The video hopefully provides some insights on how much weight is a performance factor and hopefully make it easier for some willing to make those sacrifices or go for dropping weight. Such as ENVE handlebar weight penalty for preferred fit or heavier deeper wheels for more aero benefits. Alas most of us aren’t climbing 10% grades too too often.

Thanks
Chrome-brushed decals have a really cheap rendreding... for a 5Keuro frameset.
I will invest on a custom paint modification on the frameset to replace chrome with white inscriptions.
There will be some other color modifications. I will explain it when done.

Thank you!
First ride today. I received the wheels last week. The freehub is very noisy and the bearings don't have cover. I would say more after several rides

Yes, please post the updated weight once you have. I'm interested
Here’s the weight minus the hanger and bolts are worth.
Pro Abalone Spectraflair 56cm
974g
It’s already a win since I’m downsizing from 58cm to 56cm.
Question is… do I sell this new and get this…

Was torn between 2022 fluid or satin spectraflair color, and after seeing both frames in person, this is what I got.
It's not as black as usual satin carbon, Id say its closer to gunmetal dark greyish color which I really like!
Bare frame in size 52 is 782g and 350g for the fork.

Very nice! I’m currently debating between those two colours and the black/white zebra. Wish I could see them all in person as well but none in stock in Scotland. What put you off the fluid?

Fluid was really nice as well, but since I'm using red axs groupo I thought the silver chainring wouldn't match with fluid color too well

That color scheme looks really good with that axs groupset.....

Second the buxumbox. I fly with my bike a lot, and would never put it in a soft shell. I've seen the beating the buxumbox has taken, and I doubt the Tarmac would survive that in a soft shell. Even with the hardshell flying is always a gamble, but if the airline damages a riveted alumnimum box then you've got an easier case with insurance.
