Nice, I feel like I haven't seen anyone with the enve bar stem combo on the SL7 yet. Looks tidy. I'm sticking with the Tarmac stem but my new SES handlebars should be arriving today.

Looks cleaner than the stock setup with the Tarmac stem.

I wanted something more aero/cleaner than the original setup. I was thinking of going with an EXS combo, but the random availability and the impossibility of mounting clip-on extensions (to do mountain triathlon) made me change my mind. There are not many stem/handlebar options that allows to mount clip-on extensions : Vision Metron 4D (I did not like the shape of the lower part), Black Inc Integrated aero barstem (drop to short and no adapter to SL7 frame) and the Enve in-route stem/handlebar/clip-on...
The ergonomics of the Enve aero bar is fantastic, ant I am really happy with the clean look of the set up!

Thanks for posting this. What bits did you have to buy, is it a magcad headset cover and an additional spacer??

If you to look to my set up, I have the "stock" SL7 top bearing cover + MagCAD spacer + 1cm Enve spacer (provided with the stem).
Routing the hoses in the stem required a little patience, but the result is worth it!!

Assuming that is the 2024 model, fact 9, yours in an interesting question!

I looked into it, as I was trying to find a bike to strip down to a frame, and found a post on the FaceBook SL7 group that had a 54cm weighed at 916g (with rear hanger) which is way less than my gloss painted 2023 Comp model (fact 10).

I settled for the comp as wasn’t sure on whether the fact 9 might compromise the stiffness; that said, I am never really convinced that fact9 / fact 10 is just marketing for the end of life cycle ranges!

Yeah I have seen that however that weight of 916g (with the rear hangar) you have stated on your reply is only for the frame, the forks weigh another 37.4g so realistically the whole frame weighs in at 953.4g which is still pretty impressive.

I am interested as I have the 2024 SL7 105 Sport although it barely resembles the original bike now :D

I don't think any forks weigh 37.4g. Guessing that number is meant to be 374g?

I'd have assumed it was just a typo but your maths is based on the decimal point where it is too. 916+374=1290

I have no idea if that's right but it seems more realistic?

Yeah on reflection I agree,I have definitely mistaken a spec of dust as the decimal point,so that being said your final figure of 1290g is the correct one.I have included the said photo of the measurements below, these are not my photos,so credit to the original sender.....BTW,that spec of dust was perfectly placed for a decimal point

Concluding that weight is not now so impressive.

For anyone interested, Hylix seatpost -131 grams, so 60 gram saving on OEM and about 25 grams heavier than Darimo.

I have had a few Hylix seatpost as over the years and, without tempting fate, this one looks to be the best quality to date.

The carbon seems uniform and well finished. The saddle cradle looks ‘handmade’ and the top clamp section looks specifically engineered for the job (-(and the bolts are pretty light).

Ordinarily I end up changing bolts for lighter ones and using yolks, but i saved about 1gram and the bits supplied look high quality so didn’t bother.

For anyone wondering, the 129g Hylix seatpost has been discontinued and replaced with a 136g version. When I asked the reason why, they stated it was to add some carbon in areas.

My SL7, I updated it with the new SRAM Red in May. Best bike I've ever had, it's so damn fun.

I see you have the same Rotor Alhu 30mm spindle.
Which BB did you use?
I only found an Easton BB that had an inner sleeve.
Couldn't find any other brand that made a 30mm BSA BB with an inner sleeve.
And otherwise I am always afraid that the brake hose will rub on the spindle
