Just done a video on my instagram showing how to remove these.
As for the lower part being trapped, it's essentially impossible for it to get stuck due to the size of it, unless somehow it's got lodged at the bottom of the steerer (where it meets the fork) and twisted to the side.
Good old fashion brute force should do the trick. Just bang the end of the steerer on a hard surface to hopefully dislodge.

Could anyone who's been successfully running the new 12s DA or Ultegra groupset on SL7 share your tips on setting up the front derailluer?
Here's my situation:
Just finished installing R9270 and the front derailleur is sitting too far outboard, I am using stock R9200 crankset.
When setting FD up using the e-tube app assistance, I had to trim the FD all the way inboard to max setting at -19.
Even at this setting there is still a gap of ~2mm between FD outer chain guide plate and the chain when on the large chainring, ideally there should only be 0.5~1mm gap, I couldn't bring it any closer as -19 setting is maxed out, so I canted the guide plate tail inward, but the shifting from small to big is not very smooth, the chain "catches" a bit before climb up to the big chainring.
Seems to me that SL7 FD braze on mount needed an updated for the new FD design?

I've not had a single issue on the 6x 9200 SL7's I've built...
Will check what position is on my perosnal bike shortly.

Big/small 50/11, no spacer on DS spindle. Did you also set to -19 setting on the app?ryanw wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 3:44 pmIs this big/big? Hmmm, now that is interesting! Going for a superlight SL7, Ome? Will you keep your existing SL7 nonetheless?

All this talk about paint weight got me thinking… is this in the usual range for Pro frameset 56cm 974g - white is supposedly the heaviest paint color. - who knows if it came off the assembly line and went in again for a second dousing.

Couldn't wait for my Dogma F order. It's so difficult to get a frameset nowadays so just got another one that's readily available. Not a superlight SL7, but a 12s version. Keeping the old one too.
The tension. One could cut it with a knife.
