Stendhal - Nice looking bike. Too bad it is not a disc brake model.

What did/are you replacing the SL6 with?

A disc model! Lead candidate is the Orbea Orca OMX, the Tarmac is a contender too.

That looks a lot better with paint on it. Still, I'm not in a hurry to fight with that integrated front end again. I'm sure it's better than many others - but it's a nightmare. Juice not worth the squeeze.

Its almost indistinguishabel from an SL6 other than the integrated cockpit. Still hoping against reason they make a rim brake version. Further hoping that discs are a trend like integrated seatposts.

That's what I'm saying. So many here say it is almost indistinguishable from a venge... I think it looks nothing like the Venge and the frame is basically a Tarmac/ Roubaix Team. Cable integration is tested to yield around 1 watt at 40-45k. This bike will be flying past current gen Venge.

If you really want rim brake why not a custom steel or Ti bike? Is pretty much a forgone that plastic bikes will all be disc by the next gen

Got one buddy. I really like my SL6 however.

Now that's a bike!!! Aero is the only reason I see to go plastic and disc allows for more freedom with aero design

If I could only have one bike, it would definitely be the Enigma. Haven't ridden too many modern steel bikes, but this one rides incredibly well.

How do we translate that into watts or time saved for a given effort or duration?

Very broadly, 0.01 CdA per square meter means 8-10W difference at 40 kph.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

For whoever doesn't see how it looks like the Venge, look harder.

There's plenty of details that have changed from SL6 to mimic what's on the Venge, including how the rear stays join the seat tube, fatter head tube, fatter and more aero shaped down tube, and maybe fork.

As I had written already in some of these threads, I would imagine Spesh will now need to (unlikely) retire the Venge or (likely) reimagine it as a concept, going a bit more extrem on the aero side, using fatter tubes (eg SystemSix), innovative solutions (eg radical cockpit like the One / S5), and so on. As of now, they are pretty much two very similar bikes and it dilutes their value proposition.
