Oh and for anyone who wants to know the frame in 54cm taken back to its bare carbon was 714g. So 74g paint(788g)
The carbon chameleon Cameleon paint with the bare looking finish actually has 4 layers of finishes over the bare carbon itself
Primer
The Colour
And 2 coats lacquer
Is it one of the 4 worldwide authorized paint shop by Specialized ? Only way to keep lifetime warranty

No it is not, not fussed about the lifetime warranty myself as will not have it for lifetime. Will likely change it in a couple of years.
Bike is insured if I have any problems.

Who messed up your paintjob originally?

Basso Diamante super record EPS 12
BMC slr01 ultegra Di2
Don't want to say to be honest. And Alistair at Fat Creations is great does quality work as had a Felt done a couple of years ago.

Thanks,
Yes I understand. When I do a paint on a new bike, as I normally ride it 2 years, I prefer to work with the eurepean autorized shop. With an older frameset, no problem to make it otherwise.
I also prefer paint shop working without decals under clearcoat. I Know one or 2 painters in Holland or Italy making beatifull bike (also for big pro teams) but using many decals s it is the case with original paints.

alistair (FC) is a top man, i had my cervelo finished by him last year. My Sl7 Speed of Light frame is due to arrive tomorow, i have all the bits to start the build over the weekend so will post some pictures. A mix of Ax Lightness (bars) THM / Carbon Ti chainset combo and DA 9200 groupset with Enver AR wheels.
Absolutely love that edition. Really loking forward to your pictures. Am actually looking for a complete bike (Tarmac Speed of Light) in 54 or 52 (not entirely sure, because I kind of fall right in the middle of both sizes) atm. Have spoken to 2 bike shops in Germany and both seem unable to source one.

Does anyone have P/N and source for S Works SL7 bottom bracket bearings? I am getting some noise on every pedal stroke and want to have a set on hand when I start troubleshooting. I am just running the stock DA cranks.

Could anyone recommend BB for SL7 frameset, please? C-bear Ceramic?

ive just installed a C Bear BSA with integrated sleeve - be mindful you will need the 2in1 tool from C Bear as it has only 10 notches!

Is there a weight savings with C Bear?

no idea - didnt look at others as i think C Bear are the only ones who have the sleeve option and I dont want my spondle exposed to potential cable rub!

It isn't. Most have the sleeve.. I have a BBinfinite (Ceramitech version) BSA30 for my rotor 3D+ crankset and it has it. also is very light at only 73g.

here's the version for shimano cranks (little heavier at about 89g): https://www.bbinfinite.com/products/bsa ... 2656916547

Well here it is just finished it..... spec:

Frameset - SL7 Speed of Light 54cm
Dura Ace Di2 9200 140mm rotors F&R
SL7 stem 100mm with SL& Garmin Mount & SL7 seatpost
THM Clavicula SE chainset with Carbon Ti Chainrings
Berk Saddle
Look Keo Blade Ti Ceramic pedals
AX Lightness Ergo 4200 bars (40cm)
Supacaz Tape
Enve AR 4.5 wheelset with DT Swiss 180 Hubs on Enve tyres (27 front, 29 rear)
Second Wheels are Light Bicycle Falcon Pro 46 (flyweight) with Carbon Ti Hubs with Enve 25c tyres F&R

Weight with Enve Wheels - 6.8kg and 6.5kg with Light Bicycle Wheels

I am one of those off beings that are short (5'8) but with long legs (82 inseam) so sit bang in the middle of a 52/54 framesize. To date i have ridden small but most recently I have been riding a Moots Vamoots in a 54cm and it feels so much nicer than a smaller frame, hence the 54cm for the SL7. First ride tomorow.
