For SL7 owners thinking about the switch from Shimano 9150/8050 groupsets to 9250/8150. Just a little detail but you can still use the current Di2 battery mount from Specialized. You just need to remove the black plastic shim.

I wish. The only things I got so far are the two cables for the derailleurs, the charging cable and the new battery. At least I was able to route everything including brake lines. Handlebar, BB and seatpost are installed :D

It seems that 9200 battery charger wil be rare or missing.
My retailer told me he would prefer to keep at my groupset charger waiting a second one backordered.

Do you think that in case of need i could connect my 9200 battery to another 9170 bike and charge it with the ew-910 port ?

Not sure if it will work and I can't test it since I don't have a SD50/300 adapter. But battery specs are identical so it is likely that this will work.

Charge cables are readily available at bike24 and rosebikes.

Any good pitcures available of the 2022 S-works SL7 colourways? Specificaly the wild blue lagoon/limestone color. Hard to tell if the frame is matte or gloss.

No mistake.
So give the Aethos integrated cables and the SL moniker to get its sales going?

I assume this also means a Venge2 is coming

Aethos = Aethos (poor sales)
Aethos + even more tire clearance = Crux (let's see how it sells)
Aethos + integration = SL8 (sales hit, no doubt)

Funny how things work

It most certainly says customers want to

A) ride what the pros ride
B) want a clean look when they spend the big bucks.
C) aren't too fussed about how hard or easy it is on the mechanic. Fair enough, it was never top of my list when I purchased a car.

Really we're talking about bicycles here, it's not rocket science to service them. There are mechanics with much more complicated lives that a bicycle mechanic

Exactly how it looks right now,

Haha, love that!

Let’s add,

Let’s keep in mind, when Specialized released the SL7 - they axed providing Pro Teams half the amount of bikes necessary. Eliminating the Venge and SL6 was great for them in the natural progression of new frame models. Likewise but not to the same degree with the Scott Addict, but didn’t entirely kill the Foil.

40 seconds faster over 40km at 50kph. :D

I was watching a specialized video on YouTube where they compared the steel tube bike at the same weight and same wheels as a contemporary aero bike. May have been venge or SL7.

They said the new bike was 50 seconds faster ...

They also said the SL7 was 42 seconds faster than the SL6

Does that mean that from 1950 until 2018 there was only 8 seconds of gains?

I can't find the video right now but I'm sure someone will be able to...
