Beautiful bike. Is that a 20° setback post, or less?

Swapped out my Rapides to try the new 454s. They came in at 1,391g which is not bad at all.

I'm interested in how these compare to the Rapides.

Has anyone heard any ETAs regarding 2022 bikes? S-Works, Pro and Expert?

Keep in mind that I do not work for a bike shop so I have no real connection to Specialized. However, I did talk to them a month or so ago to ask about the 2022 models, and the customer service rep said the models would start shipping to retailers sometime around October/November.

That being said, I put an order in with my LBS in early October for a 2022 Expert. They're saying they don't have an expected delivery date from Specialized at this time, but their estimate is Q3 2022. They also said I could likely expect some delays due to the recall, but for now I'm still expecting to get the bike in Q3 2022. I'm assuming the S-Works and Pro models have a similar delay.

They're in stores in the UK now but can't sell the Di2 models until Nov 19th due to embargo.

I saw your post on IG when you put the NSW's on. What are your impressions on Rapide vs 454's?

Just back from a little 40km on them.
20kph winds with 40kph gusts.

I'd say the front Rapide is definitely more stable, to be expected, but the 454s are better than Enve 5.6s.

The 454s felt like thay held speed marginally better over 45kph compared to the Rapides.

I have the 54T ratchet upgrade on my Rapides and miss the noise, also a great safety device to let people know you're there.

Are the 454s worth nearly twice the price, no, but we're not in this game to make money out of it.

Care to explain the "54T ratchet upgrade"? I'm interested! :)

Hubs making noise as a safety feature is incredibly underrated and immensely useful.
