Specialized Dual PM - Never >50% Charged

First time, long time.

I have a Specialized dual PM, which I've found either (1) doesn't go to sleep or (2) seems to kill batteries. When I put a new battery in (2032), the PowerCranks app often thinks that it is only 50% charged on that given side. Anyone come across this and have an idea how to fix it?
