Hi All,

First time posting on here but after readying that i am likely to have a difficult time with Mavics customer service i thought it would be best to get some advice on here.

I have had these wheels since March 2018 and i have had a few issues with them but overall i do like them becuase they are light. Hopefully you can see by the pictures what the issue is. This is the second axle i have had for these wheels, costing my 41.99 already and this one has gone again. i did around 2000 miles on the first one and 2500 on the second one. I use the Mavic skewers and did them up as i would normally (never had any issues before with Mavic wheels in the past), they are still under warrenty and i bought them from evans cycles.

I did get messed about from evans when i took them back previously with a machanic completely misunderstanding the issue and the way this model works, stating that i had lost abit (clearly wasn't the case) and that the part that broke off came from the other side of the wheel (again not the case at all). Essentailly i am just wonering if anyone else has had this issue as it seems pretty dangerous to have a balding conponent in that area (it started off all black and is now silver and with no ridges).

Cheers

Having done a bit more digging after posting this question i have noticed this issue on a few wheels that have been used on Mavic hub services. the part is called rear axle support serrated washer which can only be bought as a whole with the axle itself for the drive side 40 pounds at least. Front and rear none drive side ones cost 5 pounds which is annoying because they don't even wear out. Just seems too bad to be true from Mavic.
