I ride with Dura ace mechanical and I was curious if I would notice a difference if I switched to Calvicula SE as its almost half the weight? It seems many people on here run the THM crank on all their bikes. Let me know, thanks!

Unless you have a frame that supports 6806 bearings going to 30mm spindle like on the thm would be a downgrade.

isn't that BB30 bearing size ? .... which I have used for many years with M3, Classic and now SE cranks... but I just got a BB86 frame that I am using a SE cranks with.. I know not the ideal bb standard for 30mm ID.. but I check it often and so far it's very smooth still.

FWIW, the main reason I didn't do it is because the Chris King ceramic BB is better than the THM one in my opinion.

Lets just say the bearing size of a bb86 shell with 30mm crank is a compromise. Balls and/or races need to be undersized relative to other setups.

no doubt... I expect to be replacing them more often.
