The finish on these look fine. They look similar in finish to many boutique weight weenie parts, but don't feel like lightweight parts. I commuted on 1 set for a month before covid lockdown. They are pretty solid performers.

That's an updated version, my comment referred to the original.eric01 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 2:57 pmI don’t get it. It’s got satin clear, outline skypivot. Small incolor band but it’s minimal. Looks like they produced a crank that you wanted?RDY wrote:Quoting this again. The finish on the above cranks looks so cheap and shitty. Such a shame.RDY wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 6:38 pmIf anyone at skypivot / sigeyi is listening, I suggest a change to the appearance of the crank.
Finish:
Don't paint it black or put glossy clear on it. Leave it raw and use a satin clear over it.
Branding:
Remove the in color branding entirely, and the solid skypivot logo. Just have the outline skypivot branding in waterslide decals on top of the clear.
IMO it'll look way more expensive and classy.
However, the finish still looks pretty miserable in these newer photos .... and it's still painted black and there's no satin clear.
Indeed there's some pretty lumpy looking black paint and no clear at all.
I'd either not buy these, or have them stripped and refinished. They look like bad quality generic AliX parts atm, however good the cranks themselves actually are.

I really like the new graphics, i am with maddie, hoping these are going to be ready to ship soon
I think they are working on the design or something like that.
I remember something mentioning next spring for availability.

Looked up Vortex, but I don't think any of the top results are the same brand.
This is Huan Fang's bike, one of the famous amateurs in China. The wheels are Vortex N series with carbon spokes but only sold in China.jencvo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:13 amWhat wheels are those?philipeleven wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:19 pmAbout the production rate and sale situation, there are about 60-70 sets have sold inside China now, and the factory can deliver about 20-30 sets for a month.

Haha, I don't have the permission to send message to you
Yes, I just ask incolor taobao shop. They said 175mm is "testing". And It may be available after Chinese new year.
But, in my point of view, it may takes a much longer time. Their production rate is so low....

The new paint scheme is the right degree of subdued, nice. Given ~7.5g for chainring bolts and 94g for EL RC2, the cranks are 323.5g with a 5 arm spider, the updated version most likely didn't gain weight.
