here are some pics taken during development:
the early version has a even lighter weight. But it only pass a 1300N fatigue test, compare to the 1800N/100K standard used by the newest version.
this is my bike.

Certainly looks good. Is there any real world feedback on performance, and what is availability like?

Due to a minor change in the mould, we are still preparing public test samples for riders and medias. But the prototype vesion on my bike (which only pass a 130kg fatigue test)
has been riden by me for over 2 years. so far so good.
The stiffness test result is 170N/mm on ours test mechine, compares to 146N/mm of a sram force crank, and 160N/mm of a speicialized OSBB crank,so I think its performance might be on a comparativly high level.

Look exciting Here are some quesions I thought of:
What chainring options will be available (I'd love to see a 52/36)?
Are individual rings replacable?
Are other rings compatible (Shimano, Fsa, Praxis, etc)?
Any idea when it will be for sale?
Any idea what the price will be?
Where can we get updates?

We have prepared 50/34, 52/36 for shimano&sram 11spd users, and 48/35, 46/33 for sram 12spd usershernejj wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 4:24 pmLook exciting Here are some quesions I thought of:

but also provides a 4-bolt spider vesion(shimano spec) for fans of shimano shifting performance, and powermeter vesions(two chinese brands of pm are avaliable, and we are talking to SRM and P2M these days)
5-bolt version might not be produce because it might be outdated.
We will start selling it at the end of this year, and price is some where around 400-450 dollars for a high-end full T1000 version(serparated spider,no chainrings), and cheaper version with T700 carbon is still under testing( having hard time passing the fatigue standards ), hope will be available in the mid of 2020
the public test is mainly in China, and we are still contacting some western medias( like cyclingtips, bikerumors, etc), but I will try to update this topic as long as possible and answer any questions

well…… 'skypivot' is the chinese actual meaning of the star'dubhe’,one of the star of the big dipper. and 'incolor' is the company name, a company expert in bicycle custom painting priviously
Well, wouldn't it be easier to adope one of Spider interface from a well developed crank than talking to SRM/Power2max to create yet another version of their power meter?
Something like Sram's old 3 bolt interface or Easton/Race Face's interface standard seems to be quite open.
And since Rotor moving from their old interface to Aldhu interface and Power2max still offering 3d+ and 3d24 spider interface. Would they mind if you use their old interface?
That way, there are wide variety of spider and power meter spider already available.

emmm……the problem is a sram or old rotor interface cannot fit the axle-mount-type spider, and aldhu interface needs a very presisly cnc on the crank leg splineHexsense wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 5:33 pmWell, wouldn't it be easier to adope one of Spider interface from a well developed crank than talking to SRM/Power2max to create yet another version of their power meter?

I certainly not want to use a aluminum spline base inside the crankleg, which means about 30-40g per leg and absolutly no good for strength and stiffness,so the only option remain is to create a new interface.
It would be nice to have a removal logo/graphics.
Also, use a standard Direct Mount interface so something like Praxis DM chain rings could be used. The X-Sync (I think that's what it is called with a 3-bolt mounting and 4 bolt chainring) has quite a few options in spiders, power mters and direct mount chain rings.

I like this product so far but please think very carefully about your branding and logos for the western market. An excellent product can suffer from poor sales simply as the result of a weak name or confusing logo graphics. A dark label only solves part of the problem.
Also consider 48/32 chainring option. I know this combination can be difficult for compatibility to some standards, but is a a combination that works well for both gravel and road applications.

the one piece chainrings are kind of a solution for those who needs a relatively light weight and good shifting performance(a 30grams spider plus a 120g carbon ti ringset is still the lightest, but shifting performance is much worse),for gravel situation,1x/2x option,boost/non boost, means lots of SKUs,so a normal 4-bolt spider might be the pratical option for us.
