So, I generally ride way early in the AM hours its quiet, reduce risk of getting hit by a moron "allegedly", etc.. Anyhow, when did it become ok to ride with a portable bluetooth speaker blasting something along the line of Nicelback. Again, today at the park with my kids, some knuckle head is blasting Third Eye Blind (which punishment in some countries). I live downtown Chicago, sh*t is wearing me out.

A portable Bluetooth speaker is probably half a kilo and not aero. Tell him he can go faster and save 20 watts. I’m sure that’ll convince him to stop

How often is this happening that it’s annoying you? If it’s not some regular occurrence then it’s not the real source of your frustration.

When you’re a happy person things like that barely register. You’re more likely to find it amusing.

Is this during rides along the lakefront path? If yes, perhaps you should reverse the route and head North first, instead of South. Or, go South first instead of North. Which would likely minimize the disturbance significantly.
If you’re on the Northside, dealing with Sheridan Road kinda sux until you get thru Evanston. Then you can blast all the way up to North Chicago.
Just a thought.
