He bought them in the store, as shown by the "supplied by" section of his reviews. He doesn't test tires sent to him by companies afaik.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 7:01 amJarno coincidentally just published reviews of two Schwalbe MTB tires, so maybe they sent him some tires to test? He remains unimpressed by the Addix compound tires.petromyzon wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:54 amThe "2 layers of casing under the tread" sounds very similar to the construction of the new Specialized tyre. Hopefully someone will send a bunch of new rubber to Jarno to test.

Seeing how quickly the GP5000TL is dropping in street price since launch (can now easily be found for ~50 EUR), I can safely say that I'll wait a few months before trying this one. IMO paying 70 EUR for a tire whose performance is yet to be proven is nuts.

"As an example, on a rim with a 17mm internal width, they would expect a 25mm Pro One TLE to measure about 24.6mm, whereas on a C19 it blows up to around 27mm" from Road.cc
Sizing makes no sense once again, I was hoping 25mm will be 25mm on 19C, I think Road.cc is wrong and it will be more like 26mm on 19C same as GP500TL

Well, the original Pro One in 23c measured an actual ~26.5mm across for me on Bontrager Aeolus TLR rims (19.5mm internal width), so a 25c tire that measures 26mm across on a 19mm internal width rim seems like it makes a lot more sense, at least to me. We are just talking about 1mm here, vs >3mm.roadchallenge wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 7:07 pmSizing makes no sense once again, I was hoping 25mm will be 25mm on 19C, I think Road.cc is wrong and it will be more like 26mm on 19C same as GP500TL

Yeah all the new tires coming in future will be shrunk size, they also will claim weight saving that way, old Pro one 25mm was an actual 28mm tire. So i guess they designing now to 17C eterto, I wonder whats updated chart looks like.refthimos wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 8:57 pmWell, the original Pro One in 23c measured an actual ~26.5mm across for me on Bontrager Aeolus TLR rims (19.5mm internal width), so a 25c tire that measures 26mm across on a 19mm internal width rim seems like it makes a lot more sense, at least to me. The old one was 15c for 23 and 25 mm, 17c for 28 mm.
