I would not mind a 28 for the rear only.... agreed on the front.

Highly recommend you look at it in person before making that decision. Its an ugly yellow, not cotton like at all.scapewalker wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 7:14 pmI wish the normal pro one would also have this amazing cotton like sidewall colour
I agree... it's worse in the reals. Color me dissappointed.icantaffordcycling wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 8:19 pmHighly recommend you look at it in person before making that decision. Well, even in photos, it looks nothing like a true tan/cotton sidewall and has rubber texture, not a casing texture... looks quite cheap IMO.spdntrxi wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 8:20 pmI agree... it's worse in the reals. the best way I can describe it... is it looks like a 10 dollar imitation leather baseball glove.

you know you took away my reason.. as I only do short tri'sTobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 2:58 am
Maybe not in short TTs, but IM athletes doing 100mi are going wider because the extra comfort makes them faster over that distance.
but we do have shitty roads in norcal.. so I'm back

only for the rear...icantaffordcycling wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 5:05 amAren't most of the people in our area rocking 25mm that blow up to 28/29 on wide rims?
I haven't seen anyone using 28mm tires for a tt, even on our shitty roads.

Don't think I've seen an update in this thread... looks like ENVE is now listing the new Pro One as compatible with the SES 3.4 AR Disc:refthimos wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 9:11 pmWell if that's the case (that the testing requires significant time), then that certainly explains things. I haven't heard any details regarding their testing protocol other than they "do something" and then note whether or not the tire gets blown off their test rim. For "major" tire releases, it would be nice to know that compatibility would be announced "approiximately X-Y weeks after release," where X-Y is the expected range of testing time needed.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 7:46 pmENVE basically needs to test to see if the Schwalbe Pro One TLE beads stretch over time enough to blow off a hookless rim at rated and over rated pressures. It requires more than one tire as well.
I get that the testing takes time, I just have no idea what that is and right now not sure if we are closer to one day or one year to hearing from ENVE.
With that, I agree that it's more likely than not that ENVE will put the Pro One TLEs on the compatible list.
FWIW this morning I mounted the Pro One TLEs on CLX50s and it was crazy easy, both to get the tires on as well as getting them seated. I was thinking this was my new "go-to" tire until the BRR data was released.

Happy to see that these are already down at a reasonable price...

Yes. Also silly fast. I had some 25s glued up to Reynolds Aero 46 and set a bunch of Strava PRs that I never bested even on deeper wheels. But that experiment only lasted less than 2 weeks before the rear tire got about a 1 inch cut.
So it's a race day tyre. Use it and remove it for the next time. Nonetheless, if I go down that path will still be the tubeless one.

I wouldn't even use it in a mass start race because the risk vs reward just doesn't add up in my favor. In a TT where every second counts is where the Corsa Speed or Pro One TT makes sense.
