They get points for fancy packaging!
And for weight:
But most importantly, they get points for being the easiest tubeless tires I've mounted and seated - by a significant margin. Admittedly, that's only a pool of 6 (road) tubeless tires. I'm impressed. If these things ride well - they'll be hard to beat.

Great news. Heard that Enve rims are very difficult to mount tubeless tires on. Specially the new GP5000TL. So Schwalbe must have gone with different way in the tire design if they make it much easier to mount to Continental. And both are supposedly made for the same new Mavic tubeless rim standard...
Had personaly a very tought time mounting new GP5000TL 25mm on Lightbycicle 19C rims so I will most likely try new Pro Ones after the Conties will be wear out.

Interesting they claim they are hand mount. Take the mavic open pro ust rim and a set of mavic tyres and I cant hand mount them. Add my weak hand after paris best paris and i cant even get close now.
Why is it schwalbe tyres dont like wet roads. What is missing from there rubber compounds.
Also I strongly suspect the nee standard will do little to resolve thre fitting issues as there must be more to this than sizing standards. How much friction the rubber gives is important and how well the tyre edge traps air as its inflating is key too.
Also if the new standard is based on the mavic ust standard then dt swiss and many others will have to update there rims to include the bead lock next to the central channel.

After spending 70 EUR on the GP5000TL early doors I completely agree - probably be looking at a pair of these in the (UK) Summer. Although the orange wont go with my bikes colour scheme
My 1st gen 25mm Pro Ones weighed at 242g and 262g, while measuring ~28.5mm on 21c rims. There's not enough data for any conclusions, but 2nd gen does not seem be to lighter.

Hmm I mounted GP5000TLs on my Enve 3.4s without any issues, and they didn't even need sealant to seat the tyres.madik wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 7:47 amGreat news. Anyone know when these will be available in the US?
Edit: Answered my own question. BikeTiresDirect.com has the 2020 TLE models in 700x25, 28, and 30.
