If you're in the US, there is now a way to get a repair without sending them back.

Hello, elfuinha. In Spain, in Asturias there is a guy that is repairing LW from 2012. Look for in Instagram "lightweightrepair"
Some people from USA have sent wheels. Write him and he gives his email.

I sent mine to inspect because a mechanic put both knees in spokes, and 15 days from I sent the wheel to receive again. They answered emails in maximum 2 hours is my experience.

What happen when they send it back to the USA/ Canada? Do we have to pay VAT taxes again? What is the value that they declare?

They should mark it as warranty repair and it's exempted from taxes and duty. If you do get dinged it should be easy to get refunded with the RMA confirmation or any emails you may have.
