I haven't seen any talk or press releases about this but today while ordering derailleurs on QBP (a distributor most US bike shops use) I saw a Force Etap AXS rear derailleur for about $200 less than the Red and available in I think Sept or Oct, can't remember. Has this been discussed and I missed it?
There was a XO Eagle AXS as well but at the same price as XX AXS, so no big deal. Also, not available for a couple months.

It's been sold with complete bikes since this spring at least, for example on the Venge Pro. I opted for Ultegra Di2 instead because of the lower weight and past troubles with SRAM road shifting and braking.

The piecemeal Force AXS components have been slowly becoming available in the past couple weeks. The upgrade kits and complete bikes have been out for a while.

Front and Rear Force Mechs look to be in stock at the Canadian distributor. Odd if that's true as our distribution is usually lacking.

Bolt-on battery cover?? That's one way to "fix" the broken battery tab issue...

nm, I looked a little closer at a regular Eagle AXS RD and that top bolt is just the b-tension bolt. The battery cover just snaps on.

It looks like the cover was originally spotted months ago...I just never noticed it before.
