Question on bottom brackets.

I currently am riding a Pinarello GAN RS, Italian BB with DA9000

If I wanted to switch frames to a Tarmac Pro which runs BB30, and keep everything else, do I need to buy some new parts to make ensure the BB will work?

Yes you will need to buy a BB30 to Shimano bottom bracket adapter. Wheels manufacturing has a ton of dfifferent options to press in shims to full exterial bottom brackets. Check out their website.

I would recommend either a Praxis or a Enduro Torqtite

Praxis is a solid choice for BB30 -> Hollowtech II. You could also purchase FSA's or SRAM's press-fit BB30 -> BSA threaded adapter, which I've also used flawlessly. This would require the threaded Hollowtech Ii bottom bracket, however.

I have a Tarmac (and previously rode a Pinarello w/ a threaded bracket). I recommend cbear for performance and price (all their brackets use ceramic bearings, but not at crazy prices). Very easy to order. Their web site has a very useful chart matching bracket standards with cranks to fit.
