Canyon Ultimate CF SLX. It's as light as the Izalco Max.

Maybe direct mount brakes on the rim model, but it's hard to see where they could improve on it too much otherwise.

The Chapter 2 Huru is a great bike and incredibly light.

Got a chance to test ride one earlier this year and was pretty smitten.

Actually rode all of C2's offerings and the Huru was by far my favorite if the bunch.

If you’re talking Festka $$ then look at a WR Compositi Valcava Alpha. 720g frame and 295g fork with custom geo for under 3,900€ inc bar, stem and post. 30+ years of high end carbon experience.

On this site, the frame + fork is more expensive than the kit you mentioned. Is there an error inthere somewhere?

If you are looking at custom carbon what about the Tsubaba Crow. They are in the 700g range and designed around not needing paint to save an extra 100g or so.

Just curious. Does this have to do with using a cut down seatpost? Could you provide more details on the failure?
