Hi there, i would really appreciate opinions on this, not sure how long as been a problem but just noticed. I have taken either a paint chip or an actual chunk of material (carbon?) out of the end of my Cannondale SS HM fork, right at the end around the drop out. Pictures attached. I am trying to work out if the shape of the drop out material is as revealed under the paintwork - i.e. is it just paint that is missing, or (eek) have I taken out a chunk of carbon.
From the pics you can see that the other drop out has a paint around it.
My old SS used to chip if I just looked at it, but this is the matt grey version and paintwork has not been an issue. Til now. Possibly I won't put it on the floor without the front wheel again
