I haven't heard a peep, figured with the Tour going on, we'd have some news or get a glimpse

Nothing?

Didn't we just get a new Tarmac in 2019. What is expected for 2020? Disc only?

Tarmac is released every three years, and since SL6 was released in 2017, SL7 is expected to be announced in 2020 (I even suspect it's 2021, as Tarmac SL6 Disc was virtually a 2018 release).

At my local bike shop yesterday afternoon, the staff were excited to gear that the 2020 model year bikes had just arrived on the ordering system. Not new models, but new colors.

MY2021 might see some refinement in the tube shapes, but the silhouette is surely going to stay pretty much the same. Integrated bars and fully hidden cables would be the only other significant changes.

Yes, Safe bet that it will have integrated cabling and better shapes since they keep touting their shape library. Also the Roubaix is more areo than the tarmac now.

I've been looking to buy an SL6 Expert/Pro with Di2/etap + Aerofly bars. Lots of the expert models are now out of stock or discounted to £3250 so assume new range is incoming. Do you think the price will drop anymore before 2020 range lands?

Also, does anyone know the difference between Expert and Pro? The only things I've noticed is the groupset (Ultegra vs Ultegra Di2) and wheels (C38 vs CL50). Anything else? When I total up the difference it comes to around £800 but bike RRP difference is £1750 so I feel I'm missing something??

The reason there will be new bikes launched late late this year is because they need to be out before 31/12/19 if they are to be raced at the 2020 olympics is what I’m lead to believe from a few people within the industry.

does a bike have to be on the market available to the public for a certain amount of time before it can be used in the olympics?

sorry, I didn't mean "new" Tarmac, as in newly designed bike

just this year's models.

I think that's only a UCI rule. Didn't UK riders (mostly team Sky) use some custom framed bike during the London Olympics?

2020 looks like just new color. Introducing in August.

I found this for track quickly, I’ll see if I can find the same for road.
