Hello guys,
I'm going to buy a new bike.. I'm thinking of two bikes. The first one is this Focus Izaclo Max: https://www.focus-bikes.com/int/43555-i ... x-dura-aca, which I can have for really good price (50% discount).. I went to see the bike yesterday and it looked really good in the flesh.. The only "problem" is that there's very little paint on the top tube, so you can see raw carbon (see the image https://ctrlv.cz/Wji5 ) Should I be worried about it or is it OK? I'm not sure if it's the consequence of weight saving from manufacturer that they use only thin layer of paint and sometimes it is so thin that you can acutally see raw carbon or is it some kind of defect? Would you buy it considering the price or you would rather avoid it?
Thank

That's normal. You can see the carbon layup on many bikes that are painted black. Other colours too.666pounder wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 5:35 pmThe only "problem" is that there's very little paint on the top tube, so you can see raw carbon (see the image https://ctrlv.cz/Wji5 ) Should I be worried about it or is it OK?

Hello guys, I went for a qucik testridre today.. i really liked the bike. But my knees were hitting the handlebars while standing.. the more gradient the worse it was.. iam 178 CM fall, 82-83 inseam, so i think those are normal proportions.. im not sure if i could handle a longer stem in the saddle. Is there anyone with the same problem? Thanks
So iam not sure if i should try to get the right fit for this bike or should o try to find another bike with different geometry.. i think a bit the taller headtube could solve the problem.. (
here are the specs:
https://www.focus-bikes.com/int/43555-i ... x-dura-ace
It's a medium frame, which should fits me well according to their website. Some improvments that could help: normal roundtube handelbars instead of aero ones. The aero ones are too wide, so the the knees are even more close to the handlebars (see the top picture of the bike). The new handlebarars could have 70 mm reach istead of 80 mm, so I should try 110 mm stem or maybe even 120 mm (but i think that would be too much for me). I could also adjust my sadle posstion - but I'm not sure what would it do to weight distribution - never done this befeore.
