Merlins is selling the GP5000 for $35-40/ea based on the price (-price of 2x tubes) right now. If a LBS wholesale price is <$35, they're making good money selling them at $80+tax.

UK/EU pricing on Schwalbe Pro Ones is lower than distributor cost to US IBDs. There’s also a MAP they must abide by. I wouldn’t be shocked if the GP5K situation the same.

got mine in 8 calender days exact. The Gp5000s came without box , just 2 tires in a shipping box w/ bubble wrap. Weigh: 207g, 227g. (yea, weirdly big difference)

i've heard a single story of someone receiving a bill from fedex for customs after delivery of parts from outside the USA. anyone heard of anything like that?

Love my LBS and buy lots of stuff from them, including my last bike. But I'm on track for about 10k miles this year, so I'll save money on consumables when I can. My set of GP5Ks should be here this week.

merlin typical time to NYC is 6-8 days. my GP5ks took 8. My next order with them is out for delivery today, which would be 6 calender days.
