So, had some issues with extremely hot rotors following some continuous sharp cornered mountain descents and slight brake fade. Something I feel would be partially alleviated with soem good floating rotors to dissipate heat.

I'm currently running Magura HC one piece which are good and light (think 110g for 160MM).

My current options are:

-Swisstop Catalyst
-Hope Road
-Hope XC2 (If you find the black ones they are sub 100gs each but unknown performance)

I am running Campag 12Spd Hydro which is effectively Magura MT so should be variants out there which are okay. I will likely change pads at the same time so pad recommendations welcome!

EDIT: I Cannot run Campags own as I have 6 bolt hub pattern

Why not Campagnolo’s own?

Floating rotors have nothing to do with heat dissipation.

Very few cycling rotors are true floating rotors

Can't run them on my Fulcrum Quattros as Campag are running centrelock/AFS

Fair enough, I was holding this belief from car industry days. What's your view on best ways then?

Brake harder and shorter, never drag the brakes. Rotors won't make much of a difference unless you size up, which you probably can't.

If you want more heat dissipation get bigger rotors. Shimano ice tech rotors are the best of the best right now. The new XTR rotors are a step ahead and lighter than most real competitors.

Floating rotors on cars/moto prevent warping at high temperatures.
