New Specialized Tarmac 2020

I'm riding a SL6 now. Had an Aeroad before that. Both DM brakes. The Tarmac is just as fast and more comfy. Feels extremely snappy hammering up climbs. I love the bike. The Aeroad was also great and considering it was almost half the money...

Yes for tarmacs. I built up an S-Works Roubaix last week and it most certainly had a threaded bb. All of the new roubaix's have threaded bbs iirc. The Roubaix is not the same "comfort" or "endurance" bike it was in the last generation, its a completely different machine now.

Good to know, the Roubaix was never on my radar so I wasn't sure. I know they do it on the higher end Tarmacs for weight savings, but with the mileage I'm doing, I'll take the threaded bb for ease of maintenance.

Threaded BB is cool, but doesn't it feel more comfy with new form mechanism and rear decoupler(whatever it's called)?

Exactly! Looking from the geo it looks very nimble, but with more clearance.

I can count the number of rim brake SL6s we sold at the LBS we work at with 0 hands. Small data set but the point still stands.

Like few months ago with the caad13, bike-news-web do their articles based on what they read on forums
They know nothing even if it’s likely the bike will be brake only, Spe logic...

Most people I know, if they're going to upgrade their bike (and are riding rim brakes) will go for a disc frameset. People with discs won't go back to rims(usually)... So yeah... Call it market trends, or whatever you want but the "high end" of a lot of brands is more focused in discs ATM

People, its not a foregone conclusion that the SL7 will only be offered in disc. Yes it seems likely, but there is no official word anywhere.
