New De Rosa frames are simply awesome!
Perfect integration, aero, low weights, sexy design. At last something interesting in an era with many boring, they-all-look-the-same frames.

I don't like the new font. It looks like a low-cost adv.

I don't agree. It is simple and certainly more abstract and sophisticated than any low-cost adv. fonts.

Does anybody know if top De Rosas are still made in Italy? I know that Protos was actually made in Italy but what is the case nowadays?

Not a huge fan of the dropped seatstay trend, but I have to say that, for me, the Merak really outshines the whole new crop. Especially after that Super Six unveil this week. Damn that thing is fugly.

If it rides anything like my De Rosa Idol, it will be a real winner. The Idol is such an underated bike. Maybe because it's not particularly light, and it's not aero. But I've got mine down to just under 7kg and the ride is just sublime. The new Idols also look stunning imho.

Last studies show the best aero is achieve by a bigger space between the rear tire and seat tube.
So it's look aero but it's more marketing than a real research on it.

And let's not forget the Wilier Zero. Man, I love Wilier bikes, but that seat tube knobby thingy completely ruins the aesthetics of that bike for me. Too bad.

I prefer the new logo. The old looked great on a steel frame, even on a climbing carbon frame but on a big aero downtube it was quite off for my eyes.

It has been tested on the wind tunnel according to manufacturer and the new Cervelo S5 follows a similar design where top tube follows closely the arc of the rear wheel. So I doubt it is just marketing. It makes sense in terms of aerodynamics. Maybe some of the 'last studies' are marketing instead?

I’m Cannondale all the way but if I was in the market for a new bike I’d have to go for one of these.
Simply stunning.
