If we were to apply that general rule to all
Bikes, there would be less than very few that would qualify as “not chinese made” or “not Taiwan made”. All Look for example are made in Tunisia, and while a Look factory, it is still not France. This could go on and on! Silly in the end really.

It's just that all those aero and also semi-aero bikes are starting to look more and more the same.
I just wish UCI would really relax their technical regulations and create much more room for various designs so that we could see manufacturers taking much more different approaches.

And based on those pics on the previous page I dont like it (V3Rs) much either. However some decent paintjob making use of the white color may make it look better in my eyes at least, so let's see those other paintjobs, like the one seen on those photos in the 1st post or on the 1st teaser at the Colnagoworld Twitter account.
Still, as Calnago mentions, those dropped seatstays don't make it very suitable for rim brakes which is the only configuration I'd use on such frame.

How quickly people forget that not that long ago ... technically almost every racing bike looked the same save for some extra chrome and fancy paint.

Before aluminium and carbon fibre, 99% of of racing frames were made of steel tubes and lugs with horizontal top tubes.

We haven't forgotten the steel age, but the current materials make it easier to come up with very different designs which is a positive thing and I'd like to see more of that...

I really like it. Now all I need is a red art decor paint job and a non outlandish price/trade in for my Venge (which I still love)!

No matter how nice it looks I wouldn't get another Colnago if you paid me with their rubbish QC and appalling customer/warranty service.

Who knows? The press launch in Montalcino has already happened, the official Twitter mentioned a few days ago Tuesday was the day but I don't need to tell you what day it is, a comment was already made akin to 'typical Italian delivery'

Any way Top Vélo on facebook have come through with the goods as far as pictures go but still light on details:

Both rim and disc are confirmed, apparently frame weight of 790 grams but no idea if that's disc or rim. My guess is it's unpainted rim frame without headset or hangers.

Pretty much the same disc configuration as the C64 with the stem and internal routing, I look forward to seeing the rim brake set up.

That claimed weight is disc, unpainted medium frame with hardware.

At a quick glance at the geo, shorter headtubes, longer forks?

Also another cheaper model - the V3. Disc brake only, no internal routing through the headtube.

Thumbs up to Italian best practice!

You're correct on all fronts by the way. Complete builds are possible without crazy parts at sub 6.8.
