Colnago V1R disc build

Hello,

Has anyone built a Colnago V1R disc? Where can I find tech manual/build guide? Trying to build my 1st bike. Any help is highly appreciated.

I’ve just built a V1R rim brake bike and found it no different to build than any other. I suggest you buy a copy of the Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance book and study it. This will give you good advice for your first build.

Plenty of great instructional videos on Youtube...that's how I did my first build.

Thanks. I searched for some videos. No one has built a V1R with Campy groupset.

MrMojo, are you happy with your V1R? What groupset are you using? Same question for velov

You probably aren't going to find an article on building a V1R but it's a pretty standard frame. Campy has videos on youtube for installing almost every part. Here is their disc brake video:

My V1-R has a Shimano R9100 group. I’ve been very happy with it especially as the frame only cost me £250! It has a slightly damaged seat stay but had it repaired and now perfect.

Just a heads up, if you're building a V1-R disc with Campy: that frame has post-mount brake fittings, whereas Campy calipers are flat-mount only. I've done a couple bikes like that using Magura calipers mated to the Campy levers, but it's not even close to plug-and-play, unless Magura has changed their caliper fittings in the year or two since I last did it.
