Thanks everyone for your advice. I took it into my Trek dealer who said that it's very likely a crack. Since I crashed it, I was told Trek will probably offer me a discounted frame replacement. Now the real question will be whether I can get my credit card to pay for the frame replacement as it was within the 90 day period my purchase is insured against damage/theft for. I've been told Trek will probably get back to me within a few days, but I probably won't be able to give the go ahead to replace it until I get a definitive answer from my credit card, which might be a few weeks. Trek people even said they can lend me a demo road bike while I'm waiting to hear back, so quite impressed with their coverage. At least the rest of the bike is fine
Sorry to hear about your crash, such a downer on a gorgeous bike! If you don't hear back from our warranty team, feel free to drop them a ring at 1 (800) 585-8735!

Hope things work out with the CC company! :beerchug:
Thanks for your response, I got offered a crash replacement frameset for 20% off. Sadly not the same colour so I'll have to buy a new seatpost, but my LBS offered me a discount on it. Now just waiting to hear back from the insurance company before giving the go ahead.

If insurance doesn't work out, that looks like a pretty easy repair for a carbon repair shop. It's fairly inexpensive if you don't need matching paint work.

Did the LBS actually confirm that it's cracked?

I would just get the frame repaired...only 20% off is a lot of money to be spending on frames in 3 months...

Good news: my insurance are going to pay to cover replacing the frame and the labour to switch everything over. Since its a different coloured frameset I even convinced them to pay for a new seatpost since they are supposed to match the paint job. My local Trek dealer lent me a demo bike the last few weeks, but I'm excited to be getting back out on my Madone hopefully within a week
