If you can't get a sub 7kg from the ultimate frame with a sub 1350gr wheelset then there's something very wrong with Scott scales

Officially, full bike's weight often excludes pedals and bottle cages......If those are excluded, is likely 6.95kg
[/quote]

Ah, so the 7.2kg is with bottle cages and pedals? That changes things a bit.

Fully built, including cages and pedals, I am targeting 6.6kg. The wheels are Farsports clincher 45mm on Dt180 hubs. With tubes and tyres, they are about 1900g. Beyond that DA Di2, Speedplay Ti pedals and a fairy light saddle (120g) - nothing exotic.

Honestly it seems to ambitious.

Quite disappointed tbh. 300g is still quite a lot to reduce. I expected more, but the groupset could be the biggest culprit here

I followed an auction last week for the last gen Addict Ultimate and someone still scooped it at $4,500, so people are still watching and "know" it's a good WW frame

Maybe staying with 11sp is a better choice to stay WW on this new one

Here is my build list - most weights are verified. Inevitably someone will spot something I have missed...... Image

6.93kg in size XXS 49cm...
For the past while, Scott's XXS was 47cm and the XS was 49cm. Has it changed?

If not, this beauty looks like an XS / 49cm Addict from my short-legged and so-called expert perspective.

Looking forward to reading forthcoming ride reports! Wondering if a late-model (less expensive) FOIL or new (more expensive) Addict is the right move?!

If I manage to get some decent weather next week I'll let you know how theybride compared to eachother. Pick my 54 addict up on Monday and have a 2017 foil rc as my now demoted 2nd best bike / race bike

Not sure how the pro team did to Adam Yates bike with just 6.85 kgs in racing/riding condition. Incredible!

On yesterday’s Tour release, the Scott is tested... quite disappointed the Tarmac is both lighter, more aero (the tarmac as a traditional bar, costing few W) and stiffer.

With std wheels and zipp404

My German is very very rusty. Like I don't know German but there are a couple of things in that analysis and in your conclusion that I disagree.

As for aero drag, it seems that with the same wheels the addict is actually a tune fudgion more aero than the tarmac. And even then you would need to take into account how much of the seatpost is out, the saddle, groupset.

With respect to the other comparisons, they are stating that the rose ultegra (ultegra!) weights less than 7kg. Not even rose's website states those weights so amazing to see that they do.

It’s funny how in recent times this forum has decided a big company (if American, of course) will make a better bike, but then you have Cube, Rose and Focus (let alone Canyon) performing at the same level if not better.

Looking forward to the new premises of the Accel group in Belgium starting to churn out carbon frames.
