FYI, someone on Social Media posted an RC10 in a Medium and they said it's a hair over 17lbs

This bike is with mech DA, heavy 2pc stem/handlebar set up and the heavy wheels

So by that you can put your estimates. I'm not obsessed with that 6.8kg mark, I'm not a WT rider like everyone else is in WW

The quoted weight for the rc30 is 7.95kg (size M?), and from what I've read, the frame is in the 850 grams area. no idea on how much the fork weights, but in their website the claimed frameset weight (I'm assuming with fork and seatpost), it's in the 1.2kg, which is quite lightweight I think.

You can probably go near the 6kg mark if you want

Claimed weight of fork and the other parts. Image

For the Hmx Sl - 160g in the total.

There's actually some people who own the bike on Instagram now, but they're not bloggers/media personalities

My best guess is Scott will kinda follow a UCI calendar to release it...just think of it...

It would make sense to release it south of the equator first like Oceania where the summer months are early and it'll slowly creep to the West because it's fall right now and it won't be warm until April ish, so March would be "ok"

Just my theory. Otherwise I'm in the same boat as others: it's frustrating to announce something and deliver 6-8mos later. Cannondale probably took some customer already.

What I want us to talk about are the prices that's everyone getting with the pre orders. A few pages back someone got 20% and Estonia gets the same for pre ordering.

I haven't spoken to my LBS yet but I will try to package a frame+handlebar+smart trainer package hoping they'd give me a sweet deal.
Please sign me up on those 20%. I'm not getting them anywhere. Either for the rc pro or the ultimate.

In my case, I will order the rc pro+the ic handlebar+bikefit+assembly+small parts that will be needed for sure. Even 15% on the whole package would be a sure way to pick the place to put the deal.

What are they giving you? Are you "friends" with your LBS?

10% on the frame and handlebar. Nothing more.

How about my 2nd question?

I've gotten a lot of free services and stuff from my LBS only because I've remained loyal plus they're a team sponsor. I have to be honest 10% is just about as standard as it can get.

Though, this will be tested once I walk in and start talking about this bike. Let's see.

I'm rather new in the industry of cycling. I bough a 2nd hand defy a year ago and now I wanted to upgrade the frame.

I think 10% isnt too bad. Perhaps you belong to a team and you have a shop sponsor that carries the brand, that's the best way to get more than that. Or just start chattin up the sales ppl at the store, they're just regular ppl too who wants normal conversations ;)

I agree with that, having somebody who you're friendly with at the shop certainly helps

Are the 2020 Addicts in the US yet? I'm wanting to pick up an RC15, my LBS is quoting $5499 - which MSRP. I've never bought a brand new bike before - is this like buying a car, can I negotiate, or are the MSRP's normally what they sell for?

I've visited a couple stores in my area and they both took 10% of the MSRP, almost no question asked.

I think I'm safe to say that he's not
