That's awesome!

I'm trying to estimate a build here so correct me if I'm wrong:

XXS RC Pro frameset - 1200g

Creston handlebar - 300g

Force eTap - 3000g
According to here :
https://bikerumor.com/2019/06/10/hands- ... oad-group/

Wheelset (my own) - 1500g

Tubeless tires (my own) - 450g

Saddle (my own) - 180g

Cages x2 (my own) - 30g

Pedals (my own) - 165g

My total so far is 6825. All that's variable is sealant, handlebar tape, garmin mount...am I missing anything else?

I've been very generous with the weights, so a 15lb bike is achievable (?) Not that it matters to me, but my goal is to go lightest with my budget (so far the groupset is non-negotiable, but I can cut more from there)
It seems too optimistic. Yates brothers had their tour and vuelta rc pro bikes weighted and were around that number and they were using Dura-Ace which is some 500gr less than force etap. Thus, you are missing some half a kilo in there.

At least the seat post but that accounts for some 150gr. Don't know exactly what else.

Edited.
Seat post is included in the frameset module

https://www.scott-sports.com/ca/en/prod ... =274720019

They're quoting 1190 for my size but of course it won't be bang on

With the BR link above for the groupset, that one had a 172.5mm crank and a PM. I use a 165mm only and I only tend to use a left arm PM which is ~30g(whenever that'll be available)

We'll see. I do think its a bit optimistic as well, but worth the try. I hate that Shimano doesn't have a 12sp group at the moment and I refuse to use Campy.
The seatpost is included in the picture and on the "frameset package" but the reported weight cannot include it. Frame (850) and fork (360) alone are 1210gr. Then you have seatpost (140) seat clamp (12) through-axle (unknown). A good reference point is the canyon slx ultimate frame. 1800gr with handlebar included. I imagine that the addict can be a few grams less WITH the IC SL cockpit careful.

Indicate stem length and width

Also, for the holes underneath the bars

- what size bolts does it take?
- how far are they center hole to center hole?

Thinking we can use other aftermarket mounts instead of buying the Scott one

Also,Someone on Instagram quoted 7.5kg for a stock XS RC20

It's inline with expected. Keep in mind that they referred 290gr or so but for the smaller versions.

Yeah, I've also found out today that the Scott's GPS mount is rather expensive at around 60e!!

it was made in conjunction with k-edge, so I would expect the price to be on those values... I think the margin is quite high, regarding the "Syncros Stem RR iC Computer mount", so you may or may not be able to strike a good deal for it

If anyone else is getting the Creston - pls measure the distance plus the bolt sizes. Would be great if we can buy aftermarket ones. 60E is ouch. Trivial amount considering what you'll pay for the bike, but Id rather spend more on tires, etc

If my LBS where I'm buying the "lower end" addict rc does receive some integrated handlebars I'll try to get some measurements!

I went on eBay and searched under "Integrated Handlebar mount" and found this:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3026679717

Also found a K Edge one for $40

I couldnt imagine Scott making it any different from these 2. There's also ones that have elongated holes so it's not limiting hole wise.

There you go, problem solved, money saved.

I've been reading companies also making new integrated cockpit with hidden cables in a very similar fashion to what Scott did in the Addict.

One of those is Token and another is FSA (Portuguese company swiftcarbon just presented their new bike with fsa cockpit with fully hidden cables just like the addict) . I'm not sure but maybe one of their new products would already work on the addict. I don't know the exact measures to know if they are compatible. But it clearly is a matter of time for such products to appear.

That will be my next project and scheduled to complete in Dec 2019 - 6.3kg all in including pedals. My last 2015 Addict SL was 5.5kg, and it was way too light to ride sensibly but was my very 1st weight weenie project - so I had my fun and learned a lot from it.

This Scott RC2020 is really interesting.....hope it rides well, will update once is built.

Cheers
Wondering how's your project coming along...
