I'm down around 6.9 kg including pedals and bottle cages but excluding saddle bag, lights, bike computer etc. Started life as an RC 15 but has ended up close to a RC Pro. Mostly Dura Ace drivetrain, but that didn't save much weight. Biggest savings were changing to the IC SL integrated cockpit, lighter wheels (Farsports Feder 45), going tubeless, and light saddle. Yes, I have a spreadsheet...

Yeah, the stem is the major culprit, and the wheels on the 20. I just had to have 38 bars to which I have been accustomed to, and also the ability to change to a longer stem if i need to in the future. That's one of the drawbacks of integrated cockpits. The Sram Force groupset is also relatively heavy.

Even though I am a weightweenie(originally), nowadays I tend to lean more towards aero. Hence I'm a bit disappointed to learn that the Addict RC did not test that well.

I just got the handlebar. It's noteworthy that it's quite a bit thicker than the Metron 4D flat. Weight is good for an aero bar I believe. It's lighter than my SL 70 Aero in a 38. 213 g with those cables inside. I like the matt/shiny finish on the bars, which match the stem and frame.

According to the actual weights below. I recon with this setup, I am going to be 160g over the actual weight of the IC SL in 40/120. Not a small difference but I get the narrower bar and possibility of modulation.

So the Creston IC SL claimed weight is 280g 110/420. R2 weighed at 330g.

IC RR stem is supposed to be 240g at 100mm. R2 weighed it at 270g.

Scott Addict RC 20 2021 is claimed to be 7.9kg. Scott Addict RC 20 2022, which has exactly the same spec is now stated to be 8,05kg. Which is closer to actual weight.

So there's a pattern here. Probably not intentional, but that's pretty bad.

I am a bit worried though. Since the hole seems to be further down from the middle, while on the Syncros stem, the cables are coming in downwards, so the opening on the Syncros is further up because of this. I did remove the stem face plate just now and that does seem to be the case. Although I could spin the original bars upwards, to place the opening further down, and it didn't seem to be a problem. The cables might get damaged that way, but maybe I'm just overthinking it.

I am reluctant to even ask Scott directly about this, because I know they will just advise against using anything other than Syncros.

Is this normal? Or something to be worried about? I know cables get damaged because of sharp edges but this doesn't look good. My first bike with internal routing, maybe it's normal.

Thanks roadbiker. As for those edges, i'd just take a lil sandpaper or a mini file and round those square edges both outside and inside and then use some clear nail polish or super glue to coat the newly rounded edges.

Does anyboby know whether there are two different types of duncan seatpost? I saw a weight posted on this forum of one that was 142gr, while I weighted mine that's coming from an addict 10 2020 and it's around 170gr :noidea:
