Finally lowered the stack height after a year of ownership...a bit scary to make the cut but feels so much better now.
That looks great

I'm looking into an Addict and am wondering what angle the stem is, Scott says -6° but looking at your picture, it looks more like -12° or even -15° (quite important for the fit of the bike)

Both a question and a warning.

I recently purchased the Knog Plus rear light after my Lil Cobbler light died (after less than 1 year).

After only a couple of rides I notice the Plus light has scratched my seatpost!!! I am so anal about this bike and although I realize it's not a big deal to some I'm frustrated to have a $15 light damage my $300 seatpost.

Question is...is there a quick fix to try and repair this at home?

Lightly sanding with some steelwool will make it less obvious, just be carefull around the markings (numbers). You could also try to use a small amount of grease on it, bit weird but it does help get the same colour back. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! Definitely don't trust myself to sand it but I'll give the grease a shot.

that little rubber band allows the light to bounce and vibrate. With a bit of road grit you basically have created a sanding machine. Get a different light with a big sturdy band or find the style that clamps on to seat rails if you don't use a saddle bag. I recommend the lights from Giant. The Recon 100 TL is a fantastic little light that can be fitted to seat post or seat rails (with optional adapter).

I think it is equivalent to -6° if you include the 8 mm bottom spacer (or maybe the 8+2 mm spacers).
I will try to do some measurements when I get my bar/stem.

That be nice, thanks.

If it's -6° equivalent, I would be able to get away a size smaller an a 120mm stem (normally ride a 58 Giant TCR and BMC RM)

May not want to tarnish the bike but I normally just stick a piece of clear helicopter tape where my light fits to make sure it doesn't mark the post

Hello

does anyone run the Campagnolo 12 speed mechanical drivetrain on the Scott Addict RC Disc 2020? I know the problem is the front derailleur, since there is no mechanical stop for the housing. Did somebody find a solution for that or does the Shimano Dura Ace FR 9100 work whit that combination?

Hello guys,

I have Addict RC 10 2021 and I have a desire to upgrade the existing Syncros Creston iC 1.5 Compact handlebar with Syncros creston IC SL

Maybe one of you sells the mentioned handlebar:
syncros creston ic sl 400/110

Was doing some mountain passes over the weekend and the wind was so strong on the Gotthardpass that it blew my parked Addict and the top tube hit the curb during the fall :(
Any idea whether this is just the lack/coating or also the carbon? (looks more like only lack to me)
I was riding it next two days without further problems, but of course would not fancy having the top-tube break under me...
I also have to order a new derailleur-hanger, damn are they expensive for this bike...

Can anyone tell me which stems with integrated cable routing are available for the Scott? Synros is almost not available. I found Deda Vinci, which should also have a suitable headset for the Scott, but the 17 degrees are too much. I also found an FSA ACR stem with a matching headset, but it's not available anywhere with a size of 90/100mm.
