There is also a fake Syncros Creston IC SL on Aliexpress now, for around 100$... Bought it for a friend who is a bit of a penny-pincher, you can see/feel it's not the same quality, but also not that bad (I have an original Creston IC SL on my Addict).. Will see if it breaks under him :) (84kg) The only thing that looks really "ugly" is the stem cap... The plastic it's made of is already a bit rough and it's not smooth transition from handlebar to the cap (the problem here is the bar, you can see it is a raw carbon that has been painted with matte paint which is a bit too thick, where the edge for the cap should be...)
If it wasn't for the crappy cap, I would have had that bar long time ago

Well, I hoped that it would at least work with the original cap (which you can buy separately) but it's even worse.. The bar is the culprit...

Why would you send it back when you bought it on Aliexpress for a fraction of the price of the real part? It's obvious that it's fake and the buyer knew it before he had bought it.

It´s just scary, how big the counterfeit industry is.

The industry is just as big as the demand for it.

That be nice, thanks.

If it's -6° equivalent, I would be able to get away a size smaller an a 120mm stem (normally ride a 58 Giant TCR and BMC RM)
Finally got the chance to do some measurements. As far as I can tell, the bar/stem + 8mm is equivalent to a standard -6° stem (40 mm stack height), but I might be 1-2 mm off.
Basically the 8 mm headset cover should be considered part of the stem when calculating the stack and not counted as a spacer.

That's a mandatory spacer. The same with almost every brand. Unfortunately, brands do not clearly state that height and people have to search around to find out. As my wife says "for the prices they charge, the cycling industry provides a terrible job informing and attending to their customers".

Thanks, helps a lot.

Then I'm going to need a 56

Anyone run a 30mm tire on their Addict RC? How's the clearance like and any rubbing on the frame?

I ran a 30 rear tire for a while and no clearance issue.

There are no issues even in muddy conditions with 32mm (GP5000). Even 30mm CX tyres are ok when dry.

Maybe a stupid question, but is the matte part on the top tube (2021 RC20 and probably others) just a sticker? It sure feels like it.
The reason im asking is because i want to install some helicopter tape for protection against rub from a framebag and im afraid it would peel the sticker off, once I remove it.

"All" 2022 bikes up on Scott website except Addict RC and Foil. Will they appear soon? Any insight?
