Were there framer weights posted in the article? Is there were I missed it.
Exactly. Thanks. I thought I was further enforcing none's post. Tops vs drops is so huge that I doubt that the difference could be made up by comparing any two conventional (non tri) frames.
My 56cm 2018 S3 disc is 7665g with cages, gps mount, oem bars stem, DA 9170 groupset, 65mm deep dt Swiss wheels, and assimo uno pedals. I could save another 150g with different bars and gps mount. It’s not super light but far from very heavy.

In the New Tour 7/2019 they tested the Cervelo S3, Size 56, Ultegra Di2, rimbrake Version, total wheight 7.9 kg (wo Pedals)
Frame wheight 1.243g, Fork 418g
Aero results for the S3 with original Novatec R5 Carbon wheels 211W
tuned with Zipp 404 wheels 209W
The Cervelo S5 was tested in Tour 1/2019 with 206W
So....quite small differences between current S3 and S5 regarding Aero results.

S3D is a great bike. S5D is the top of the tree, if money isn't the deciding factor and you want to be different, go for the S5.
You can get a 56cm S5D to around 7.2kg fully built.
7.43kg as seen in this pic (excluding Garmin 830):

Great info thanks for posting, looks pretty good for a non aero specific bike (usual Tour test caveats apply etc)
Aside from this, I nearly purchased a new S3 as i think the overall look is great, and although the headtube is quite tall, that means for most people they can run where they "should" but with little or no spacers The S3 is quite short in the top tube unlike a lot of recent bikes that are super stretched out, it felt good, but I went with something else in the end mainly due to weight (BMC roadmachine)

Nice, especially as it fits without a crap load of spacers. Shame they couldn't make maybe 2 different rises of ste, as they look a it wrong with the step the spacers give.
