Road short cage RD with a 9-46t cassette!

Would very much liked the keep the red anodized Zipp logo from the R2C shifter to the outside for aesthetic reasons but it’s much easier to use the body weight to push the lever down with the palm of my hand pulling the RD up to bigger cogs and just pull the lever up for the ‘click’ lowering the RD for smaller cogs. Works very nicely and I like the looks of everything. Note that I cut the bar to fit the shifter so the overall length of the drop section counting with the shifter lever length is equivalent to the other side , while riding I rest my hands mid section anyways so it won't botter me that is shorter....its also cool that I could change the angle of the lever to go with the curvature of the drop instead of straight...also helps with ergonomics.

My hands are reaching the levers perfectly also because I was able to bring the lever very close to the bar. Next project would be to find a 90 degrees fitting or even full 180 to hide the brake hoses....but it’s fine for now. Only funky looking is that tape wrapping over the compression nut but its functional so I'm good with that.

Still working on finding a pad to eliminate the shifter cable from where my right hand rests, it’s not ideal right now.

Btw...I chose to go 10sp, this Zipp R2C shifter can only be found as 10sp, so that means I'll quit on trying the 46t cog...39t is plenty, so no need to custom mod the sram Red RD. Case solved.

Sure there's 11s R2C, but couldn't find as Zipp branded. Also, since I decided to stay with 10sp this one will do the job just fine.

All 'Exact Actuation' Sram systems have the same cable pull ratio with the addition of a step for 11sp. In my case I'll miss the last 46t cog, but again I won't be using it anyways (planning of chopping it off).

Exact actuation doesn't make shifters and cassettes intercompatible. Just the rear derailleur.

I don't know how R2C shifter is built, but can't you manufacture an 11 speed indexing plate? Also, how heavy are the lever adapters?

Opposite, maybe you didn't get my prior message: I'm using a 10sp R2C shifter with everything else 11sp (Cassette/RD/Chain).

Total weight for Magura levers with adapters + R2C 10sp shifter: 258.3g. I'm curious: what would be the lightest traditional STI possible?

When compared to yours, my chain wrap look much worse, the RD can be probably moved a bit more forward and upward. The RD position is still within Shimano-specified range for DM hanger.

But that’s the debate, does it feel worse? I don’t ‘feel’ my shifting worse because of a different chain wrap...I’m free to play just fine.
