Hello,
short question: would you recommend to grease a rotor 4630 BB when pressing it in a carbonframe or not? or would park tool anti seize possibly be the better alternative?
i read so many conflicting answers to this question, that i wanted to ask this once more on this board, because i know that a lot of skilled mechanics are
active here.
thanks in advance, regards

The cups are meant to stay put, - not move in the frame. It should be assembled dry or with a retaining compound if it creaks.

There was very similar thread recently.
Wrapping up it for you, three the most common recommendations are:
1. fit it dry,
2. with lube, or
3. with retaining compound

Hello,
thanks a lot for your input. i think i give it to my mechanic on tuesady und trust, that he knows what to do best.
but i read, retaining compound only, when bb is creaking.

If BB is creaking, then yes, for sure retaining compound (Loctite 609), plus primer (Loctite 7649). And get the surfaces squeaky clean using either acetone or something like White Lightings “Clean Streak”.

dry if the shell tolerance is good, retaining compounds for poorly made frames
