Put the cat in the microwave.

An addition to prior mentioned options, consiter a shoe/boot dryer. We use them for our kids and they work great. Works on their footwear also.

Evil grows in dark damp places!!!

This is a cycling forum, the clear answer is to buy the new shoes that you have been looking at anyway. Then blame it on the cat!

FWIW, Febreeze works really well at covering up smells.

For actual cat pee- use this.

Not sure how it works on other bad smells, but it does work on cat urine.

True story.
I went to use my Evoc bike case for a trip to Maui. I opened the case and was met with a nasty cat pee scent.
(Our old cat had died 4 months prior and left me a present to remember him!)
I just had to go with it- when I got to Maui I sprayed it with disinfectant, aired it and put it out in the sun daily. This only helped a small amount.
I ordered the above mentioned spray so that it was at home when I came back.
It totally got rid of the cat urine smell.

I wonder how TSA liked that smell?

The peculiar thing about this is that someone actually bought them.

I am using mixture of tea tree oil and alcohol in spray bottle to get rid of the odour in my climbing shoes. It's the only thing I found to work against the funk. I'm pretty sure there's nothing nastier then scent of climbing shoes worn in warm climate.

And here I was thinking this thread was about a new brand of cycling shoe.
