I guess you're right, it depends what matters for each of us... but I think they're very bad values because the OP didn't mention brand history and heritage in what matters to him. And I only brought up value because Lewn777 did, if money is not a factor for someone, value might not matter that much, which I'm guessing is the case for most people who buy these bikes.corky wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 12:27 pmBut value is subjective.....Dan Gerous wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 12:21 pmIf value matters, they're both some of the worst on the market.
Actually you'd be surprised. One of my father's friends is extremely wealthy, a multi-millionaire, not billionaire, but multiple big houses, cars, leased helicopters etc. People like this demand value or percieved value. They don't care about the price, they'll happily pay $1000 for a bottle of wine because it's a very rare year and has been sitting in a French cellar for 50 years, but they care about paying for something and getting what it's worth. This is because they think they're extremely smart so paying $10 for a 50c banana would make them very angry, because that would mean they'd been made a fool of. The trick is then to convince them that a 50c banana is actually worth $10.Dan Gerous wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 1:42 pmI guess you're right, it depends what matters for each of us... but I think they're very bad values because the OP didn't mention brand history and heritage in what matters to him.
