Is there any design or weight difference between 2018 vs 2019 addict RC 10 models? I saw the 2019 Addict in my LBS, and noticed the down tube is flat on the inner triangle side and oval in front. Not sure if the same for 2018?

How’s the over ride and handling? Looking to replace my 2011 addict r1... hopefully newer model will be lighter, stiffer, more complaint?

And would it accept 26.2mm wide rims?

@KaneChang's Addict has MCFK 35mm rims, which are 26.5mm, but his is disc version.

There are many Addicts with 25mm Conti 4000S II, which are at least 27mm wide - should fit.

About two years ago, I upgraded my previous-gen ‘09 Addict R1 w/HMX carbon to a current-gen ‘17 Addict SL w/HMX-SL. While the ‘09 Addict felt worlds stiffer (too stiff at first!) than my earlier ‘05 Trek Madone, I don’t recall much “feeling” difference between the two Addicts. Maybe the newer one had a bit more compliant ride, but hard thats hard to say. That said versus my older Addict with English BB, the newer ‘17 Addict frameset with PF BB is a bit lighter and the FD hanger is significantly stiffer that yields a less fussy FD set-up.

To my understanding, the Addict line hasn’t been updated since 2016. Yes, the downtube is semi-aero now. It’s not an aero bike by any means, but the tests place it ahead of the Emonda among others.

Thanks.. I’m coming from a 2011 addict r1, so been debating if enter or not an upgrade is needed or not.
