Not sure where the right section is but I fell and have a hairline crack in my seat post at the top. I would like to see if this can be repaired as the seat post is a super light Schmolke. I am located in southern California.

Thanks

Interested in the answer to. Exactly the same has happened to my Schmolke post. One ride on the trainer, torqued to the right speck, went to sell it and noticed the crack.

Not sure if it would be cost effective to repair a seat post. The repair may approach the cost of a new seat post. Also, the repaired post may not insert properly into the seat tube.

It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.

Seat posts stinks to repair, as they're full of grease and what not, which is almost impossible to clean proper.
I wouldn't do it, as the result will be less than stellar.

Have you tried contacting Schmolke? They take pride in their products so they might give you the correct advice?

Broken Carbon and Altitude Composites here in Colorado both do good work from what I have heard

You could check with Montenegro Manufacturing (http://www.montenegromfg.com/), but I doubt it would be cost effective.
