Weight Weenies

I see lots of posts here about the Bungarus link but can't find anything about the Aican A3 cables and housing.

It's available on Ebay for about 22 EUR (25 USD), with free shipping. So just wondering if i'd be buying a lemon or getting a good deal!

Ideally i'm looking for a full shift and brake cable set for 100g (ish) and sub $60 USD. Not sure if i'm way off the mark but that was my estimation from other threads here. Don't want to spend the earth though (budget build) so Alligator and Jagwire Elite links (also Bungarus) too expensive.

I used the A1 cables on my Speedvagen with Campy SR11, and it was super nice. I rode my bike in some rainy weather and noticed the cables started to get gunk'd up a bit and my rear brake was sticking. That being said, I'm going to order another set because I got it pretty cheap and it's lighter than stock Campy cable housing.

Thanks Denavelo. My understanding was that the only difference between the A1 and A3 cables was that the A1 was 4mm outer and A3 5mm. Is that right?

Maybe you could seal the links with heat shrink tubing-supposedly this is a common fix for Nokon links and also keeps noise-causing grit from getting between the links.
